1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CardChing ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. CardChing reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
CardChing is a spending tracking application that helps users manage their finances through AI receipt scanning, budget tracking, recurring transaction tracking, and spending analytics. CardChing does not process payments, issue credit cards, or provide financial advice.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account using Google or Apple sign-in. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Free and Paid Plans
CardChing offers both free and paid subscription plans:
- Free plan: Manual transaction entry and basic spending insights
- Pro plan: Receipt scanning, spending analytics, and data export
Paid subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are managed by RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's App Store settings.
5. Guest Access
CardChing allows limited use without an account ("Guest mode"). Guest data is stored locally on your device and is not synced to the cloud. Creating an account is required to access cloud sync, receipt scanning, and other premium features.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of all data you enter into CardChing, including transaction details and receipt images. By using the Service, you grant CardChing a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your data for any other purpose without your explicit consent.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code through receipt images or other inputs
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal app usage (e.g., scraping, bots)
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
CardChing is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that extracted receipt data or spending analytics are complete, accurate, or up-to-date. CardChing is a tracking tool and does not constitute financial advice. Always verify important financial records directly with your provider.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardChing and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
10. Account Deletion
You can request account deletion from Settings → Profile in the app. This requests removal of your sign-in account and marks app data for scheduled cleanup after more than 30 days. This is not a guaranteed completion deadline or a recovery window. Some records and copies may remain; see the retention and deletion details.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in activity that is harmful to the Service or other users. You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by deleting your account.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the app. Your continued use of CardChing after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
